Rawalpindi reports 115 new dengue cases in 24 hours

RAWALPINDI: At least 115 new dengue patients have been reported in the last 24 hours. According to data released by the District Health Authority, 219 patients are currently being treated in allied hospitals. Since January, a total of 3,735 dengue cases have been diagnosed this year, which is still lower than the number reported in 2023.
The report indicates that 59 patients from the peri-urban areas of Pothohar Town were reported in the last 24 hours, while 19 cases were diagnosed in the RCB areas. There have been a total of 8 dengue fatalities, including 1 from the Murree district.
The District Health Authority of Rawalpindi has urged citizens to adhere to dengue SOPs and take personal responsibility in preventing the spread of the disease.
