Karachi: Medicines’ purchase record of National Institute of Child Health (NICH) was seized during a raid conducted by a team of Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE).

An official of NICH confirmed that an Anti-Corruption team during its raid conducted on Thursday confiscated purchase record of medicines and medical instruments. No-one was allowed to enter or leave the hospital’s premises as long as the raiding party stayed there, he added.

The ACE team also asked the concerned officials to provide them complete record of medicines and medical instruments purchased by the hospital.
Confirming that members of the ACE team checked the hospital’s record, the NICH’s director, Prof Jamal Raza termed it a `routine matter’.
