ISLAMABAD: The Medical Teaching Institution (MTI) Act 2021 has been proposed to be repealed by Noor Alam Khan.


Bill to revoke MTI act 2021 is submitted in National Assembly

Ex-Prime Minister Imran Khan was accused of trying to implement American policies/systems in Pakistan that were not possible.

MTI act of PIMS was approved in PTI Government

During the PTI government's term in office, the law was passed and is currently being implemented at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (Pims) in Islamabad.  Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab have enacted similar measures.

A draft of the bill states that Pims was founded in 1985 as a tertiary care hospital and research centre. At the heart of the institute are five hospitals and four educational institutions. 

This list includes Islamabad Hospital, Children's Hospital, Mother and Child Hospital (MCH), Burn Care Center, Heart Care Center, College of Medical Technology, College of Nursing, School of Dentistry, and Quaid-i-Azam Postgraduate Medical Center.
