KARACHI- Twenty more dengue viral fever cases have been reported in the city, increasing the number of patients of the deadly disease to 269, this year, according to Dr Shakeel Aamir Mullick, Sindh’s provincial manager dengue prevention and control programme.
“In fact, around 40 dengue cases have been reported from Karachi within a week,” he said, adding that in all 270 dengue fever cases have been reported across Sindh since January 2015 and of them 269 were detected in Karachi and one in other part of the province.
Sindh health department and the dengue prevention and control programme have already launched larvacidal activities throughout the metropolis.
