KARACHI- The Central President, Pakistan Pharmacists Association(PPA), Mushtaq Chaudhary, made demands in front of the Government of Sindh, to appoint drug inspectors at Taluka level, as currently only nine drug inspectors are available in 29 districts of Sindh.
President of PPA, while addressing a press conference at Karachi Press Club, exclaimed that services of our pharmacists don’t get proper recognition in Pakistan, as compared to rest of the world, due to which they fail in producing good results as per their ability and skills.
Vice-President-PPA Centre, Syed Adnan Rizvi, Central General Secretary-PPA, Aziz Naagra and other office-bearers of PPA were present at this media briefing.
Central President, PPA, further voiced out, how the pharmacists are underpaid, as compared to the doctors in the province of Sindh. And how their services lack recognition, resulting in wastage of their skills.
He demanded of the Federal and Provincial governments, to appoint pharmacists at Tehsil or Taluka level across the country, fill the vacant posts, enhance their allowances and job security at workplace.
