11 victims of Peshawar school attack shifted to AKUH for treatment

KARACHI- At least eleven people, who had been injured in the Peshawar school attack, were shifted to the Aga Khan Hospital in Karachi for further treatment.

According to media reports; those shifted to AKUH include a teacher -Zulfikar and 10 students; Ans Idrees, Muhammad Nafay, Amir Muhammad, Amir Amin, Umair Khan, Mubashir, Muhammad Zunain, Muhammad Aftab, Shahrukh and Maaz. Each of them is accompanied by two family members.

Reports said President of Shuhada-O-Ghazi Forum - Abid Raza Bangash said his organisation had requested the government to re-examine the injured as they were not in stable condition in a Peshawar hospital.

He said total of 54 people will be shifted to Karachi to receive further treatment. “among these 54 patients, 21 are in serious condition.”He said that; the remaining 43 will be shifted to Karachi over the next four days.

The Sindh government has promised complete cooperation, and has even offered to bear expenses for the treatment of the injured. Health minister Jam Mahtab Hussain Dahar and health secretary Iftikhar Shallwani also visited the injured at the hospital.
