The choked water supply lines have doubled the miseries for the patients and medical staff since the past few days. Around 5000 to 7000, patients visit the different OPDs of both institutions daily for treatment and consultation. However, the stagnant water has created a nuisance to the patients and hampered vehicular movement.
The ambulance drivers are also facing great hardships in shifting the patients who require immediate cardiac and pediatric care in the emergency department.
The doctors, paramedical staff, and nurses are also facing great hardships due to the choked water lines that need to be cleaned as soon as possible. Administrative Officer, NICVD, Dr Malik Hameedullah, was not available to make any comments.
