Provincial Minister Orders Completion Of ‘Health Schemes’ Within Stipulated Time

KARACHI- Provincial Minister for Health and Population. Dr. Azra Fazal Pechuho recently conducted a joint meeting of Health, Works and Services Department, enquiring regarding the ongoing development schemes and to ensure their completion within the stipulated time, keeping patients’ relief as a priority.


Additional Chief Secretary Health, Dr. Muhammad Usman Chachar, Secretary Works and Services, Mr. Abdul Rahim Shaikh and other concerned officers also attended the meeting.


Dr. Azra expressed her resentment over the substandard development work carried out at Civil Hospital Sukkur and sought for its improvement and repairment.


Provincial Minister, also directed to complete work at Ghulam Muhammad Mehar Medical College Sukkur, and warned against any lethargic attitude towards the completion of the project.


The meeting also reviewed the ongoing development schemes, such as the establishment of BIUT at  Shaheed Benazirabad, construction of new OPD for Neurosurgery and 50 bedded Surgical and Medical ICU at Peoples Medical Colleges Hospital Benazirabad; establishment of Pediatric Unit at NICVD, Anti- Snake Venom and Rabies Serology Lab in Sindh, establishment of Medical Colleges at Hyderabad, Khairpur, Mirpurkhas; and construction of 300 bedded Maternal and Child health Institute at Shaheed Benazirabad, Nawabshah.


Dr. Pechuho also issued directives to speed up the work process of all these schemes, in order to facilitate the health care system of Sindh.
