Lahore to have artificial rain to fight smog 

LAHORE: The Punjab government has finalised arrangements for inducing artificial rain in Lahore and its surrounding areas to combat the growing threat of smog as winter approaches.
Senior Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb announced that artificial rain will be arranged in response to the increasing smog problem. 
She said resources have been allocated for this initiative and other measures on the direction of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz. 
Ms Aurangzeb said, “A single session of artificial rain will cost between Rs5 million to Rs7 million.”
She said the artificial rain will be carried out with the assistance of the Meteorological Department, adhering to international standards, urging the public to cooperate and participate in the collective effort to effectively tackle the smog issue.
