ISLAMABAD: More than 100 cases of COVID-19 infection among airport employees in Islamabad were detected recently.
The infected employees included senior officers, including the director, joint director, assistant director, and other air traffic control officials.
The contracted cases of COVID-19 also included the cases of Omicron variant.
As per reports, it is feared that more staffers would contract COVID-19 due to the inadequate preventive measures at the Islamabad airport.
It was learned that many passengers were undergoing COVID-19 detection tests at the airport. The Islamabad airport also had a crowd of passengers these days due to a complete restoration of flight operations that boosted the reservation of the airport officials.
