After that the other system is MIS (Management Information System), which will help in digitalisation of software system for all institutions imparting medical and dental education, online registration system etc.

The Supreme Court on January 12 upholding the decision of Lahore High Court dissolved the governing council of the PMDC and nominated an interim body to run day-to-day affairs of the regulator.

The courts sent packing the governing council of the regulatory body on the petition of private medical and dental colleges on the plea that the council was functioning unlawfully because it was created under PMDC (Amendment) Ordinance, 2015 which lapsed on April 25, 2016.

The new interim body appointed by the apex court has taken over the charge.
