PMA requests Prime Minister Shehbaz to restore PMDC

KARACHI: Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) wrote a letter to Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Prime Minister of Pakistan, congratulating him for being elected as Prime Minister.  

Through this letter, PMA has requested Prime Minister to restore Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC)after removing controversial articles and clauses with the consultation of all stakeholders to strengthen PMDC as a democratic, autonomous, independent and transparent body to regulate medical education in the country.  

PMA has also requested Prime Minister to spare some time to meet the delegation of PMA to discuss the critical issues regarding the health delivery system and medical education in the country.
