First Pakistani pharma company exports nutraceuticals to America

KARACHI: In a significant milestone for the Pakistani pharmaceutical sector, Citi Pharma has become the first local company to export nutraceuticals and multivitamins to the United States. The company announced this achievement in a letter to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), highlighting its success in the international market.
According to the letter, Citi Pharma has received approval from the US FDA to export a range of products, including medications for weight control, hair care, mental health disorders, and joint pain. The company has successfully shipped its products in various forms, including injections, tablets, syrups, creams, and capsules.
The first shipment generated revenue of $195,000, contributing to Citi Pharma's annual export income of $3 million. This accomplishment marks a pivotal moment for the Pakistani pharmaceutical industry, showcasing its potential on the global stage.
