LAHORE: An important meeting was held in the Punjab Health Initiative Management Company under the chairmanship of Punjab Health Secretary Dr Ahmed Javed Qazi - Chief Planning Officer of the Department of Specialised Health Care and Medical Education Abdul Haq Bhatti, CEO of Punjab Health Initiative Management Company Dr Ali Razzaq, Khurram Lodhi and other officers participated in the meeting.
Punjab Health Secretary Dr Ahmed Javed Qazi during the meeting reviewed the steps taken to provide more facilities to the people of Punjab through Sehat Sahulat Card. The provincial Health Secretary expressed his opinion and said that the Punjab Health Initiative Management Company is playing an important role in providing better health facilities to the people of the province through the Sehat Sahulat Card.
According to the statistics, so far more than 2.7 million people in Punjab have received free treatment facilities through Sehat Sahulat Card. So far the people of Punjab have received free treatment facilities worth more than 60 billion 15 crore rupees. 798 government and private hospitals have been empaneled to provide free treatment facilities to the people of Punjab through sehat sahulat card. 182 government and 616 private hospitals have been empaneled to provide free treatment facilities.
According to the details, more than 5 lakh 97 thousand people in Punjab have done free dialysis through Sehat Sahulat card. So far more than 61 thousand 4 hundred people have got the facility of free coronary angiography through Sehat Sahulat card. More than 61 thousand and 600 women get free treatment facilities like normal delivery and more than 250,000 women got the free facility of cesarean operation. So far, more than 40,000 people in Punjab have undergone free hernia surgery through Sehat sahulat card.
More than 42,600 people get free facility of chemotherapy through the card. Till now more than 31 thousand 200 people in Punjab have obtained free facility of angioplasty through Sehat Sahulat card. So far, more than 2 lac people have undergone free eye surgery in Punjab.
