CHK Inaugurates Foot & Wound Care Centre

KARACHI: A state of the art specialized center “Dowites78 Foot & Wound Care Centre” was recently inaugurated by Dowites' 78 Operation Theatre Welfare Society (DOTS). The Centre is located inside the premises of the Dr Ruth K M Pfau Civil Hospital (CHK), Karachi. This project is in collaboration with the CHK's administration, a public-private partnership in Karachi. The center aims to maintain optimal foot health for diabetic patients.

The inauguration ceremony was chaired by Prof Dr Saeed Ahmed Quraishy. Vice-Chancellor, DUHS, was the chief guest of the ceremony along with other distinguished guests, including Prof Dr Amjad Siraj Memon, Principal, Dow Medical College, Dr Rubina Bashir, Medical Superintendent, Civil Hospital, Karachi, and Mr Faisal Edhi from the Edhi Foundation.

The host of the event Prof Dr Shafiq ur Rehman, General Secretary, DOTS who briefed the audience about the main objective of the project. Its goal is to do complicated, costly surgeries free of cost in best equipped Dowites78 Foot & Wound Care Center.
