So officials of the Anti Corruption Department, Punjab, had to use force. During a coordinated operation in the nation's capital, a group from the Anti-Corruption Establishment and officers from the Dera Ghazi Khan police department took her into custody.
According to the sources, she was detained in connection with a case involving a dispute over a piece of property in Rajanpur.
Imaan Zainab Mazari-Hazir, the woman's daughter, stated that the personnel of the police department tortured her mother before being taken into custody. This statement confirmed the report.
Using her Twitter profile, she made her statement, which read as follows: "Male police officers have beaten and taken away my mum." Nevertheless, there was no evidence of torture on Shireen Mazari as per the sources.
My only information is that the Anti-Corruption Wing has taken her to Lahore.
The development was also corroborated by the PTI's Iftikhar Durrani, who took to Twitter and claimed that Dr Shireen Mazari had been managed to pick up outside from her house not too long ago and that everyone should proceed to the Kohsaaar Police Station.
