Yasmin directs for completion of Institute of Cardiology DG Khan

LAHORE: Yasmin Rashid, Minister of Health, Punjab, chaired a high-level meeting in the Department of Specialized Health Care and Medical Education. Dr Akhtar Malik also participated in the meeting. 

In the meeting, Imran Sikandar Baloch, Health Secretary, Punjab, Special Secretaries, Additional Secretaries, Chief  Planning Officer and other officers participated. During the meeting, Yasmin Rashid reviewed the ongoing progress on the Under Construction Child Block in Gangaram Hospital, the Institute of Cardiology under construction at DG Khan and other development projects. 

Imran Sikandar Baloch gave briefing to Minister of Health. Yasmin Rashid expressed her opinion and said that according to the vision of Imran Khan, facilities should be created for the patients in the government hospitals of Punjab. The Sahat Solahat card has been proven a game changer. 

So far, more than 19 lacs people have received free treatment through the Sahat Solahat card in Punjab. She further said that the 600-bedded  mother and child block under construction in Gangaram Hospital Lahore will be completed on time. The Institute of Cardiology under construction at DG Khan has been instructed to complete on time. Rawalpindi Institute of Urology will also be completed on time. Funds have also been directed to be released for the construction of University of Child Health Sciences. Yasmin Rashid said that during the meeting, suggestions were also asked for appointing new principals in different five teaching institutions of Punjab. Corona and dengue patients are being treated better in teaching government hospitals of Punjab. Conditions of teaching government hospitals in Punjab. Improvements are being made.
