Memon vows to help solve nursing community’s problems

KARACHI-  Sindh health department’s special secretary (Admin) Riaz Ahmed Memon has vowed to help resolve all issues of the nursing community of the province, including those relating to their stipend  and other allownces, on priority. 

Besides, funds will be earmarked and released soon to administrative officials of nurses associated with the public sector health care facilities, he added.

He made these commitments while presiding over a meeting of principals and senior faculty members of nursing schools and colleges of the province held here at the auditorium of Directorate of Nursing, Sindh.

Earlier, highlighting the problems being faced by nurses, Sindh Nursing Directorate’s assistant director, Khair-un-Nisa Akbar, said that these issues pertained to education, delegation of DDO’s (Drawing and Disbursing Officer) powers to administrative officials of School of Nursing, shortage of lower grade staff, inadequate facilities at the nursing institutions, etc.

Surya Memon , who recently took over the charge of director (Nursing) at Sindh Directorate of Nursing, said that she would leave no stone unturned in resolving all the genuine problems of students of School of Nursing and College of Nursing.
