Karachi: Say goodbye to Cancer, a miracle drug now available in Karachi. One of the first patients who underwent this treatment at the Aga Khan hospital is now under the supervision of renowned haemotologist Dr Usman Shaikh.

Dostarlimab, present as an intravenous injection, is known to treat certain malignant forms of endometrial cancers, specifically those that have relapsed after chemotherapy treatment. Dostarlimab injection falls under the monoclonal antibodies category. It works by blocking the action of a certain protein in cancer cells. This allows the person's own immune system to fight against the cancer cells and slows down tumour growth. However, a new form of Dostarlimab can now destroy all forms of cancer.

While speaking to Medical News, Mr Farooq Dadi shared his experience of receiving the Dostarlimab therapy to cure his cancer. Farooq Dadi is a renowned businessman and a socio-political/economic analyst based in Karachi. He regularly gives his analyses and is regular on certain private television channels. He is a well-known social person in the business community and other organisations such as Rotary. Mr Farooq Dadi wishes to serve the community through honest means.

He is an active member of the Polio Eradication Programme in Pakistan. Regarding his experiences Mr Farooq Dadi spoke to Medical News, saying that he did not experience any side effects of the new miracle drug treatment, even though the dose administered was heavier than the standard chemotherapy dosage.

The drug administration and therapy duration were short because soon enough he was out of the hospital, post-treatment, as he was discharged on the 3rd day and drove himself home. The price of the Dostarlimab injection, produced by Roche pharmaceuticals, is steep at present but as soon as production and need for them will increase, the price will come down with the passage of time.

The anti-cancer treatment, through the drug Dostarlimab, includes 6 injections that help develop antibodies against all types of cancers. These antibodies act against tumours, preventing relapse. The process is similar to chemotherapy but the dosage is 4 times higher.

This ground-breaking development shall alleviate the suffering of cancer patients across the globe and give them a new lease of life. The medical fraternity has achieved a milestone in its fight against this generation’s most fatal illness. The successful evidence-based results of Dostarlimab will improve life quality and save countless lives. This is a new revolution in medical history.
