PMA expresses concern over the gross violation of public health in Sindh

KARACHI: The Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) Karachi recently noted that the Government of Sindh behaved irresponsibly by allowing thousands of people to walk the roads without masks and without maintaining social distancing.

This is a gross violation of public health principles in the presence of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Sindh Government will be responsible for the exponential growth in the number of COVID-19 cases as well as any unnecessary deaths caused by the procession. No sensible country in the world will allow this kind of procession, putting women and children at risk.

It seems that after taking great steps to protect the people of Sindh and prevent death, the Chief Minister of Sindh lost hope and acted with extreme irresponsibility against the health of people. Our people will pay the price of this irresponsible act, said the PMA.
