KARACHI: The Faculty of Eastern Medicine at Hamdard University organized its 5th Educational Trip, a remarkable initiative aimed at fostering health, wellness, and education within the community. The event, led by the Hakim Amjed Ismail, was made possible with the generous contributions of the Hamdard Foundation, which provided a mobile dispensary, and Hamdard Laboratories, who gifted "Rooh Afza Go" to add a touch of joy to the proceedings.
This multifaceted initiative showcased the profound impact of holistic healthcare and education through its key activities:
- Dry Cupping Therapy (Hijama): Offering alternative healing techniques to attendees.
- Nutritional awareness sessions: Educating individuals about balanced diets and healthy living.
- Welfare contributions: Free medical camp services, distribution of ration bags, winter clothing, shoes, and nutritious lunches were provided to families in need.
- Children's engagement: The event featured educational gifts, interactive quizzes, and activities to spark excitement among kids.
The trip was a resounding success thanks to the dedication of Hamdard University’s Faculty of Eastern Medicine and the guidance of the Dean, along with key members including Tabiba Huma Saeed, Nutritionist Mis Hajra Ilyaas, Hakim Raees Khan, and Hakim Amjad Chishti.
Their efforts to promote health and well-being were deeply appreciated, as they not only delivered medical care but also empowered communities through education and welfare. This initiative embodies Hamdard University’s commitment to enhancing lives by blending traditional healing with modern practices.
