ISLAMABAD: For the month of Ramadan, the government has reduced the price of flour and sugar to Rs400 per 10kg and Rs70 per kg, respectively.
In a big relief package, Shehbaz Sharif, Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, stated that flour prices in Punjab province would be reduced from Rs 550 to Rs400 per 10-kilogram bag during the holy month of Ramadan.
At a special conference called by the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to address the issue of food costs, sugar was decreased from Rs 75 to Rs 70 per kg and will be accessible at Ramazan Bazaars and Utility Stores till Eid-ul-Fitr.
There were briefings from provincial chief secretaries about the current food pricing and supply conditions. For the sake of the general public, he pushed the other provinces to do the same. To help Balochistan and Azad Jammu, and Kashmir governments, Prime Minister Shehbaz requested cooperation from Punjab's government. Additional contributions will be sent to Balochistan's administration, if necessary.
