A senior official of the Sindh Health Department said that in order to curb the spread of COVID-19 and ensure the safety of children and teaching staff, the Health Department is considering launching free COVID-19 screening for all educational institutions of Sindh.
After the opening of educational institutions in the province, the Health Department is also making plans to constitute teams comprised of health experts to check the implementation of SOPs in schools, colleges, and universities to avoid the spread of the novel coronavirus.
The teams will ensure the proper implementation of health guidelines such as washing hands with soap, wearing masks and gloves, social distancing, and the use of hand sanitizer to keep the virus at bay.
The teams will also check the implementation of all SOPs set by the authorities, but it is also the responsibility of parents, school teachers, and students to ensure compliance with the SOPs to avoid the spread of the coronavirus.
