Mr Nauman Lateef, Chief Commercial Officer of Martin Dow Marker, Prof Dr M. Shiraz, Director BIPS, Dr Zain ul Hasnain, Chief Patron PGA and Prof Dr Liaquat Raza, Project Director, have signed the MoU for the capacity building and professional upgrading of Young Pharmacists.
PGA and MDM joined hands together back in 2020, and since then, it has been aimed to continuously work for the betterment of the Pharmacy profession and impart significant change.
At the occasion of the MoU signing ceremony, PGA Pakistan, MDM and BIPS, leading professionals, academicians, and think tanks of the field discussed several projects for the students of the Pharmacy and young Pharmacists.
Prof Dr Liaquat Raza (Patron PGA, Project Director training program) has explained the certificate program of pharmacists and further discussed various new projects in the pipeline for the students and professionals. Dr Zain ul Hasnain (Chief Patron PGA) shed light on the role and mission of PGA in the past 12 years. He added that PGA has been training students over the years and is a pioneer in introducing WPD in Pakistan for the first time.
In a healthy, productive discussion with Dr Shoaib Baqai (Director P&D, Baqai Medical University), Honorable VC of BMU, Prof Dr Zahida Baqai, who appreciated the efforts of PGA Pakistan for their services to the Pharmacy Profession and agreed to support such activities that will boost the Pharmacy and Pharmacists. Alongside Senior Management of MDM, Mr Nauman Lateef (Chief Commercial Officer), Mr Sheraz Ahmad (Head of Trade), and Dr Ahmad Nawaz (Head of Medical Affairs) have assured full support to the PGA to uplift the profession of Pharmacy.
In the end, Prof Dr Liaquat Raza said that with this tri-party collaboration, PGA is hopeful that in the coming days, further projects will be signed so that students will be equipped with the current and latest knowledge of the profession. Moreover, Pharma Professionals attain their actual status in the country and society.
