Pakistani Neuroresearcher receives Tadokoro award for Epilepsy treatment research

Tadokoro Award for a Pakistani Young Neuroresearcher, an excellent achievement  an Academic and Research Honor.

KARACHI: A moment of pride for a whole nation, Dr Nimra Mujeeb, has been awarded the prestigious Tadokoro Award, for Best Poster Presentation, at the AOEC conference. 

Dr Mujeeb is research student of Pakistani Neuroscientist, Prof Dr Liaquat Raza who is working since decade for drug discovery of neurological and various other diseases including treatment regimen optimization protocols.

This conducted research study was focused on Epilepsy treatment using various models of Epilepsy.

Dr Mujeeb presented her significant research finding at the 14th Asian & Oceanian Epilepsy Congress that took place from 17 to 19 November 2022. It is one the most prestigious scientific events in the field of Epilepsy Research, where researchers from throughout the world participated and shared the latest findings in the field of epileptology.


Prof Dr Muhammad Liaquat Raza, had designed this research project, with the objective of testing new drug for the treatment of epilepsy. Dr Farzana Sadaf of Hamdard University was also the supervisor for this project.

The study showed significant results in various animal models of epilepsy. Moreover, Based on impact of the study results, the submitted research was short listed for the DataBlitz session by ILAE-YES.  The DataBlitz session during this conference was aimed specifically to highlight the original thinking of a brilliant junior researchers in epilepsy. ILAE is the major international authoritative body in the field of Epilepsy research and is based in Dundrum, Ireland. and USA.
