The committee, headed by Prof Kartar Dawani, Pro VC, DUHS, has started the work. The committee has been assigned to report and fix the issue within 24 hours. However, the video makers are former students of the DUHS.
In a statement, the DUHS spokesperson said that the Higher Education Commission had instructed all the local students to vacate the hostel in compliance with COVID-19 safety measures and SOPs. The spokesperson made it clear that according to all rules in the university, employees have been recruited on the domicile of Sindh.
All discussions regarding ignoring the rules and regulations in the recruitment of employees are baseless.
He said that the media would be informed as soon as the girls’ hostel video incident inquiry is complete.
