DG schools issues important advisory for parents

KARACHI- Sindh Education Department recently asked the parents in an advisory not to take their children to public places and weddings as the government plans to keep schools open. 

In the advisory,  Dr Mansoob Hussain Siddiqui, Director-General Schools, said that the new coronavirus variant is spreading rapidly in the country, especially in Karachi, where the positivity rate has reached 40 per cent. It noted that the victims were children in particular and asked parents to act upon the suggestions to protect their kids from this disease. 
He said the government wanted to keep educational institutions open so that education might continue without a break to save the precious time of the students. 

The DG recommended that children must be got jabbed immediately. District Health Department Teams are visiting the schools for this purpose. 

The children must be prevented to join gatherings at shopping malls, markets, marriage halls, parties and parks etc. They should be instructed to observe SOPs like to wear masks in the school and classrooms etc.
They may also be instructed not to buy or eat anything from outside. 

The advisory maintained that parents must ensure that their children take the necessary precautions to save themselves from COVID-19 and its spread.
