Colorectal Cancer Symposium by AJM Pharma

A symposium was held on recently in Karachi entitled - “Key advances in multi-disciplinary management of Colorectal Cancer “by AJM Pharma, where a large gathering of Oncologists, Surgeons and allied professionals were present.
The chief guests of the session were Prof. S.H.M. Zaidi and Prof. Ghulam Asghar Channa. This clinical meeting was comprised of state-of-the-Art lectures on the medical, surgical and Radiation perspectives,
Dr Azmina Vali Mohammad delivered her talk on Medical updates of colorectal cancer and revealed new horizons in the management of this challenge with a clinician’s and a medical oncologist's point of view.
Dr Abid Jamal discussed various aspects of surgical management of CRC,
while Dr Nadeem Abbasi explored recent trends and approaches from a Radiation oncologist's viewpoint.
This symposium was also enriched with highly informative and interactive Case presentations on CRC. These presentations were compiled at different institutes and were also analyzed by high caliber expert panelists.
Case presentations were delivered by Dr. Nawaz Abro (NORIN - Nawabshah), Dr. Hafeez Somroo (LINAR-Larkana) and Dr Fayyaz Hussain (NIMRA-Jamshoro) who brought difficult cases of CRC to enlighten the participants.
Dr Asghar H. Asghar (Consultant Oncologist at KIRAN) presented an interesting case to the audience, while Dr G. Haider (Consultant Oncologist JPMC/AKUH) discussed a challenging case from his practice.
Dr Raheela Mehmood (AEMC Karachi) revealed a unique patient case of CRC.
Dr Bilal Qureshi (AKUH) highlighted a unique case scenario, which was followed by Q & A after every case presentation making it more interactive.
A quiz was also held after this session in which all the winners were rewarded with prizes. The expert panelists of these two sessions were; Dr Siraj Abbasi, Dr Ibne Haasan, Dr Khalid Ahsan Malik, Dr M.A. Memon, Dr. Najeeb Namatullah, Dr Ahmed Usman and Dr Khush Naseeb Khan.
