Commissioner Karachi issues SOP for educational institutes

KARACHI: Muhammad Iqbal Memon, Commissioner, Karachi, issued these directives under the standard operating procedures regarding dengue for educational institutes across the metropolis. 

The commissioner directed all the students to wear full sleeves. “Uncovered water should not be left at any place or container in the institute. Special attention should be paid to cleanliness. Time and again, the anti-germs spray should be carried out at different building spots,” he said. 

He said water tanks should be thoroughly cleaned. He maintained that if the information was received regarding dengue in any institution, the concerned administration should be informed immediately. 

The upsurge in Dengue cases has caused havoc in the country as the number of cases is increasing daily. Most number 0f dengue cases are reported in the province of Sindh after heavy rainfall and flash floods.
