Punjab Health Secretary Speaks On COPD Awareness Day

LAHORE: Imran Sikandar Baloch, the Secretary for the Department of Primary and Secondary Healthcare (P&SH), recently spoke about Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disorder (COPD) on COPD Awareness Day, celebrated worldwide on November 17th.

“Proper care, healthy lifestyle, and complete medication can prevent this ailment”, he informed.

Mr Baloch stressed spreading awareness regarding this disease while sharing information and awareness video and messages through P&SH’s social media platforms.

“COPD is a treatable disease, and preventive measures are being taken in Punjab by the health department to prevent COPD”, he added, explaining how avoiding smoking leads to being healthy and safe from all respiratory diseases.

More than 6.5 million people worldwide suffer from COPD.
