Baluchistan and Sindh collaborate to improve healthcare systems

KARACHI: The Chairman of the Board of Commissioners for the Sindh Healthcare Commission (SHCC) has announced a partnership with the Baluchistan Healthcare Commission (BHCC) to enhance healthcare services in both regions.

Recognizing the challenges faced in healthcare delivery in Baluchistan and Sindh, Dr. Khalid Shaikh, Chairman of the SHCC, expressed the need for tangible improvements in healthcare quality during a meeting with BHCC members.

A delegation from BHCC, led by Chairman Justice Retired A. Hameed Baluch, embarked on a two-day visit to the SHCC for exposure and learning. Dr. Sheikh welcomed the delegation and pledged unwavering support for BHCC's establishment and operations, declaring SHCC as a sister concern of BHCC.

Justice A Hameed Baloch appreciated SHCC's support and endorsed the collaborative efforts between the two healthcare commissions to enhance healthcare quality in both provinces.

The BHCC delegation included Naseem Lehri, Dr. Wahid Baloch, Dr. Farooq Azam Jan, Dr. Masood Nousherwani, Jalal Mondokhail, and Dr. Noor Qazi, BHCC's CEO. SHCC's CEO, Dr. Ahson Qavi Siddiqi, and his team organized orientation and training sessions to share valuable insights and experiences with the BHCC delegates.

Dr. Noor Qazi, CEO of BHCC, highlighted the social and cultural similarities between Baluchistan and Sindh and emphasized the significance of the visit in guiding BHCC's operations effectively.

Dr. Qazi expressed gratitude to the SHCC team for their practical assistance and support, considering it a gesture of goodwill from the people of Sindh towards Baluchistan's healthcare improvement.

SHCC hosted a reception dinner in honor of the BHCC delegation, attended by SHCC Commissioners Dr. AG Shoro, Dr. Ghulam Rasool Shah, Dr. Mirza Ali Azhar, and Dr. Shoaib Gangat, who presented mementos to the esteemed guests.
