Sindh health department distributes chlorine tablets

KARACHI: The Sindh Health Department distributed chlorine tablets in all Karachi districts, which were provided by the World Health Organization (WHO).

An official at Health Services Karachi informed that chorine tablets were distributed in the Malir District,  Korangi District, District Central, District South, District East, District West, and Kemari District, after heavy rains in the city.

He explained that chlorine tablets were distributed amongst citizens who are receiving substandard water. He further explained that these tablets were distributed through the District Health Officers (DHOs) under preventive measures to control the spread of water-borne diseases after rains as well as save citizens from the threat of naegleria.

The official further said that chlorine tablets were also divided into Sindh's other divisions, including Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas, Sukkur, Larkana, and Shaheed Benazirabad.
