Government of Sindh Approves Health Allowances for NICVD’s Staff

KARACHI- Sindh Minister for Health and Population, Dr. Azra Fazal Pechuho, recently conducted the 5th Executive Committee Meeting of NICVD at her office.

While presiding over the session, she stated that National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD) had been providing excellent health services to cardiac patients, and had become an institution of great value.

Additional Chief Secretary Health, Dr. Usman Chachar, and Executive Director NICVD Prof Dr. Nadeem Qamar among others, attended the committee meeting.

During the meeting, everyone was informed that at present a total number of 08 NICVD Satellite Centres were fully operational across the province of Sindh.

It was also decided to complete the mega project ‘Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Cardiac Care Hospital’ (SMBBCH), Tando Muhammad Khan, at earliest, to facilitate the people of TM- Khan and its adjacent areas.

Health Professional Allowance at half basic pay per month was also approved for the employees of NICVD, as Sindh Government had already sanctioned the same number for the employees of JPMC and NICH.

The recruitment of clinical staff for NICVD was also decided at the meeting.

On this occasion, Dr. Azra Pechuho lauded the performance of NICVD and expressed her hope that the employees of NICVD would continue performing good services for the best interest of the people of Sindh, and people of Pakistan in general.
