Relief activities initiated to help Thar famine victims

Karachi: Omair Sana Foundation has initiated relief activities to help drought/famine victims of Thar. 

Chief Operating Officer, Obaid Hashmi said that the Foundation is trying to help the famine affected families and children of Thar within its limited resources. He explained that the Foundation has started relief activities including distribution of water and ration, and medical relief.

He also gave details of required items that include rice, dry milk, cooked tin packed food, tea, water, flour and other necessary items with warm clothes for winter season. He said that death of innocent lives due to starvation is deplorable. “It is our moral, national and religious duty to support them” he said.

Omair Sana Foundation has embarked on its relief activities and soon distribution of ration and medical camps would be set to benefit these victims.
He urged government to deploy coordinative efforts and work for the rehabilitation of those affected and currently suffering. He appealed to philanthropists to come forward and extend their support.
