Additional Medical Superintendent (AMS-Indoor), CHK, Dr Ismail Memon, said that a total of eight heat affected patients were brought into the Heat-Stroke Centre. An elderly patient whose identity is yet to be determined passed away owing to complications. He informed that five patients were discharged from the hospital following first aid treatment, and three others were still undergoing treatment, including a woman.
He explained that it was premature to say whether the man passed away due to heat-stroke related complications or any other illness.
