KARACHI: A private school in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Karachi, had closed its primary section due to an increase of Omicron cases in the port city.
Pupils in the elementary section would take online classes. At the same time, students in grades 6 through 8 would be called into school in groups, according to a circular issued by the school administration to parents.

According to the management, the decision was made to guarantee the safety of pupils in the primary area of the school.
