LAHORE: Punjab Health Minister Khawaja Imran Nazir, in a raid conducted with the Chief Drug Controller, recovered government hospital medicines worth over Rs 3 million, uncovering large-scale theft from hospitals in Kharian, Rawalpindi, and the federal region.
Health department sources revealed that the stolen medicines were being sold illegally in the open market. Authorities arrested an accused involved in the racket.
Khawaja Imran Nazir emphasized that investigations are ongoing to identify all culprits and ensure accountability.
