‘Made in Pakistan’ ventilator marks a major leap towards self-reliance

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has achieved another milestone in medical innovation with the successful local production of the ‘Innovent’ ventilator by Essence Industries Karachi. Approved and registered by the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP), Innovent has passed clinical trials and is ready for production, marking a significant step towards self-reliance in healthcare technology.
DRAP CEO Dr. Asim Rauf termed the achievement as the start of a new era for Pakistan’s medical equipment manufacturing, boosting local industries and enhancing export potential.
