PMA Condemns killings

KARACHI: Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) strongly condemned the attack and killing of policemen, who were deployed to provide security to polio teams.

Secretary General,Pakistan Medical Association (Centre) Dr Mirza Ali Azhar said an emergent meeting of PMA Centre and PMA Karachi were held at PMA House, Karachi, where the participants strongly condemn the attack and killing of policemen, who were deployed to provide security to the team busy in administering Polio drops.

He said it is evident that polio is the disease which now only exists in two countries of the world including Pakistan. This act of terrorism is an effort to stop this campaign and let the polio spread in the country.

He said participants of meeting demanded that the campaign should be kept going, foolproof security should be provided to the team and culprits must be arrested and punished as per law of the country.
