Minister’s directive - Remove political parties’ offices from hospitals

KARACHI - Sindh Minister for Health Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar has directed administration of all government hospitals not to yield to any pressure while removing offices of political parties from the premises of their respective institutions.


He gave these directives while presiding over a meeting of officials of government hospitals’ management at his office.

“Hospitals should look like hospitals and not the offices of political parties,” the minister remarked and instructed the administration of all public sector hospitals to ensure that offices of all political parties, all sorts of political slogans, banners, posters, etc. were removed from the premises of their respective institutions.

Mr. Dahar said that it was the prime responsibility of government hospitals’ management to provide better treatment facilities as well as better environment to patients so that they should feel comfortable while visiting the health facilities.
