Karachi: With rates of overpopulation increasing exponentially, the depreciation of the Pakistani rupee, and poor healthcare delivery, the people of Pakistan's two largest metropolitan cities face difficulty in the burial of their relatives.
According to reports, all graveyards that fall under the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation are fully packed, leaving no space for any further burials.
These reports claimed that about 15 to 20 bodies are brought in for burial every day.
Authorities have commented on the matter saying that there is a need to acclaim more land for graveyards urgently. Acquisition of at least 40 acres of land for each district of Karachi is imperative.
