KARACHI: On Monday evening, an explosion in Karachi's bustling Kharadar area killed one and injured ten people in Bombay Bazaar.

It was just as they were about to leave the market when the explosion happened, according to a police officer from Kharadar.
Officials at the hospital acknowledged that they had received a woman's body and ten others who had been injured.

According to eyewitnesses, a rickshaw and numerous other parked cars were also damaged, including a van in Kharadar bomb blast.
Residents in the area speculated that an explosive device mounted to a two-wheeler may have been the cause of the incident.

Murtaza Wahab, Karachi's administrator, said earlier that police and rescue authorities had arrived and roped off the location.

Sharjeel Memon, Sindh Information Minister, claimed earlier that police contingents had been despatched to the site while speaking to the media. At this point, police force arrived.
