NORTH YORKSHIRE: A mother was pleaded guilty to the horrifying murder of her own child, who died in the hospital after police were called to his house due to safety concerns.

Carol Hodgson kills her own son in Guisborough

Carol Hodgson, age 39, pleaded guilty at Teesside Crown Court to the murder of two-year-old Daniel Hodgson Green.

On February 2, police responded to a property in Upper Garth Gardens, Guisborough, North Yorkshire, after receiving a report of concern for the youngster.

The youngster was discovered in severe condition and taken to the hospital, but he tragically died later that day from his injuries.

On February 6, Hodgson was charged with murder after being arrested by Cleveland police two days later. A police mugshot depicted the murderer peering straight into the camera with her neck wrapped in heavy plasters.
