ISLAMABAD: In a recent meeting with Caretaker Federal Minister for Health, Dr. Nadeem Jan, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Deputy Health Minister Dr Hani Jokhdar, appreciated Pakistan for successfully holding the two-day Global Health Security Summit.
The meeting was held between Dr Jokhdar, who led a Saudi delegation, and Dr Nadeem Jan on the sidelines of the Global Health Security Summit.
The Saudi dignitary thanked Pakistan for the invitation to the global forum and commended its pivotal initiative in enhancing global health security. He underscored the enduring, brotherly, and historical ties between the two countries, expressing a strong desire to deepen cooperation with Pakistan in the health sector.
In response, Dr Jan expressed eagerness to enhance collaboration between the two countries in the field of health, highlighting Pakistan's abundant human resources in the healthcare sector and discussed potential cooperation in the area of plasma research.
The visiting delegation was also briefed on the progress of the King Salman Hospital in Islamabad, generously supported by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
