Secretary Health Punjab meet UNICEF representative  

Lahore: Secretary Health Punjab Dr Ahmad Javed Qazi met UNICEF Pakistan representative Mr Abdullah A Fadal and his delegation. 

On this occasion, Special Secretary Shoaib Jadoon, Vice Chancellor Fatima Jinnah Medical University Prof Dr Khalid Masood Gondal, CEO Punjab Health Initiative Management Company Dr Ali Razaq, Registrar University of Child Health Sciences Prof Dr Janaid Rasheed, Prof Tayyaba Waseem, Dr. Abdul Rahman, DrAhtsham ul Haq from department of Primary and Secondary Health Care and others were present. Tahir Manzoor and others were included in the UNICEF delegation.  

There was an exchange between Punjab Health Secretary Dr. Ahmad Javed Qazi and UNICEF Pakistan representative Abdullah A Fadal about the details and further improvement of the health care system of Punjab. The representative of UNICEF Pakistan, Abdullah A Fadal, appreciated the services of Punjab Health Secretary Dr Ahmed Javed Qazi for the improvement of the health care system. Provincial Health Secretary Dr Ahmad Javed Qazi said that we are trying to provide better health facilities to the people of Punjab in government teaching hospitals. With the support of UNICEF, a training program will be started in schools to protect children from dangerous diseases.  

More than 35 lacs people in Punjab have received free treatment facilities through  universal health coverage. We are providing 24/7 facility of primary angioplasty to patients through all cardiology hospitals of Punjab. He thanked the UNICEF delegation for cooperating with the Health Department to provide better health facilities. 

UNICEF Pakistan representative Abdullah A Fadal said that UNICEF will continue to cooperate with the Health Department to provide better health facilities to the people of Punjab. We appreciate  Department of Specialized Health Care and Medical Education for facilitating the patients in the Government Teaching Hospitals.
