LAHORE: Provincial Disaster Management Authority, Punjab, organised a ceremony to hand over 17 latest vehicles, equipment and machinery to DG Rescue 1122 at the Chief Minister's Office.
PDMA handed over modern vehicles, equipment and machinery to Rescue 1122. Chaudhry Pervez Elahi, Chief Minister of Punjab, handed over the documents and keys of the vehicles to DG Rescue 1122 Dr Rizwan Naseer, Director General Provincial Disaster Management Authority Punjab Faisal Farid.
Speaking on this occasion, Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi said that Rescue 1122 had been equipped with modern vehicles, equipment and machinery to deal with emergency situations somewhere in Punjab province, and today Rescue 1122 has crossed another milestone. He briefed Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervez Elahi about the latest vehicles, equipment and machinery. He said that PDMA and Rescue 1122 are providing professional services in Punjab. The plant planted in my previous era has become a tree today. Rescue 1122 staff in flood, earthquake or any other emergency.
Chief Secretary Kamran Afzal, Faisal Shahkar, Inspector General of Police, Muhammad Khan Bhatti, Dr Rizwan Naseer, Faisal Farid, and concerned personnel were also present on occasion. Nine water rescue units, two sky lift vehicles, six earth quick and disaster search and rescue vans, 36 hydraulic combi tools, 36 self-contained breathing apparatus, and 36 hydraulic concrete chain saws were provided by PDMA. 6 Life Locator, 6 Pneumatic Lifting Bag, 6 Chipping Hammer, 6 Acoustic Listening Device, 6 Fire Optic Camera with the communication device has been handed over to Rescue 1122.
