HEC team inspects JSMU for compliance with guidelines

KARACHI: A Higher Education Commission (HEC) delegation recently visited Jinnah Sindh Medical University (JSMU) to evaluate the varsity's academic standards, infrastructure, and compliance with HEC guidelines.
The HEC team was welcomed by Vice Chancellor Prof Amjad Siraj Memon, who presided over the meeting alongside department heads from JSMU
During the meeting, Dr Abdul Wahid Usmani, Director of the Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC), presented an overview of JSMU's academic programmes, state-of-the-art laboratory facilities, smart classrooms, and various initiatives aimed at enhancing teaching and learning.
The team engaged in productive discussions with faculty members, departmental heads, and students, and toured the campus to assess key facilities while gathering insights into the students' academic experiences.
This visit represents a crucial step in JSMU’s ongoing commitment to upholding high educational standards and ensuring alignment with the HEC's rigorous criteria, with a detailed review of the findings set to follow.
