RAWALPINDI: The 13th syndicate meeting of Rawalpindi Medical University was presided over by Yasmin Rashid, Punjab's health minister.
Participants included Prof. Umar, Dr Hafiz Shahid Latif, the Additional Secretary Technical Department of Specialized Health, and members of the syndicate.
During the syndicate meeting, the Registrar of Rawalpindi Medical University presented the agenda. Prof. Umar, the Vice-Chancellor of Rawalpindi Medical University, briefed Yasmin Rashid on the ongoing development initiatives in affiliated hospitals and the university's research activities.
The revised budget of Rawalpindi Medical University and its affiliated institutions was approved during the conference. Additionally, the budget for 2022-23 was confirmed. Family Hospital and Benazir Bhutto Hospital Rawalpindi were granted permission to pay their arrears, and the refurbishment of the student hostels at Rawalpindi Medical University was also authorized.
MS/MD supervision requirements for Medical University have likewise been granted. Rawalpindi Medical University's MS in Public Health program was authorized during the Syndicate meeting.
