LAHORE: Actor Veena Malik recently contracted COVID-19, shared her thoughts on social media, and reminisced about the 'small, intimate moments in life that she is missing out on due to self-isolation.
"The little things matter. Who knew I'd miss coffee dates and grocery runs the most? In our fast-paced world, it's easy to take moments for granted. Hanging out friends and family, going out to a restaurant, as soon as Covid-19 cut us off from the world, these tiny moments became ever so important. Suddenly, I craved a cappuccino or yearned for a trip out. I VALUED the GREETINGS' exchanged between my neighbour and me on our daily walks." She penned down.
"I got so caught up in my life's bigger, flashier events that I forgot how meaningful the small, intimate moments were", she said.
"People, please take care of yourselves. Obviously, everyone knows that COVID-19 is a real issue. Even if vaccinated, people should take care of themselves. Be masked all the time, whenever they go out." Malik urged her followers.
Not even celebrities were safe from the pandemic; Kubra Khan and Ushna Shah had tested positive previously. Many urged their followers to be responsible and get vaccinated to protect themselves and the community around them.
