PESHAWAR: As many as 1400 persons were recently provided treatment during a four-day free eye surgical camp organized by the Pakistan Army in Mohmand district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Organized in collaboration with Al Shifa Eye Trust, the camp offered free screenings, surgeries, and medication to the residents of far-flung area.
As many as 885 men, 544 women, and 245 children received free eye screening at the Pakistan Army camp.
A total of 754 patients were provided with free spectacles, and over 1,100 patients received free
medication at the camp aimed to address the lack of access to quality eye care in the region, where patients often have to travel long distances to seek treatment.
The locals thanked the Pakistan Army for organizing the camp, providing them medical care at their doorstep.
The camp was a part of the broader commitment by the Pakistan Army to extend fundamental healthcare provisions to the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, to improve their health and well-being.
